CHERRY TOMATO CULTIVATION UNDER DIFFERENT LEVELS OF IRRIGATION WATER SALINITY AND ROOT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

چکیده

The use of saline water is a challenge modern agriculture since the this type reduces crop quality and yield. From perspective, study aimed to analyze performance cherry tomato under different levels irrigation salinity partial root-zone irrigation. experiment was conducted in plant nursery at Engineering Agricultural Sciences Campus Federal University Alagoas, Rio Largo, Brazil. experimental design completely randomized, 4 x 2 factorial arrangement corresponding four (0.5 (control), 1.5, 2.5, 3.5 dS m-¹) two root management systems (with without system division), with five replications. plants were evaluated for growth, dry mass accumulation, m-1 intensely height, number fruits, shoot tomato. fresh reduced by division. However, treatment increased height fruits per plant. Root division mitigates deleterious effects up electrical conductivity 1.5 m-1, especially on fruit

Effects of salinity and irrigation water management on soil and tomato in drip irrigation

In this research, the effects of irrigation with saline and fresh water through drip irrigation method and using two irrigation management strategies: M1, M2 (M1 is irrigation with fresh water in alternative with saline water, M2 is saline water in first half time of each irrigation event and fresh water in the second half), on the yield, water productivity (WP), soil salinity, plant height...

management of irrigation water salinity in greenhouse tomato production under calcareous sandy soil and drip irrigation

a greenhouse experiment was conducted during the growing seasons (2008/2009 and 2009/2010) to investigate the effects of water quality and soil amendments, irrigation methods and rates on tomato (solanum lycopersicon l. cv. red gold) yield and water use efficiency (wue). irrigation management treatments were fresh (0.86 ds m-1) and saline waters (3.6 ds m-1), surface and subsurface irrigation m...

Response of tomato to irrigation with saline water applied by different irrigation methods and water management stratigies

In a field experiment the effects of irrigation with saline drainage water (seasonal average of 4.5 dS/m) and non-saline water (0.55 dS/m) applied by two different water management strategies (cyclic or blended saline water with non-saline water in different ratios) and two different irrigation methods (drip or furrow) were studied on growth and productivity of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum M...

Modification of a maize simulation model under different water, nitrogen and salinity levels

Irrigation, salinity and nitrogen (N) are the three major limiting environmental factors inmaize yield potentials especially in arid and semi-arid regions. An integrated water and N MaizeSimulation Model (MSM) was modified for salinity conditions using 2009-2010 fieldexperiments data in southwest of Iran. Irrigation levels were: I1=1.0ETc+0.25ETc as normalleaching amount, I2=0.75I1 and I3=0.5I1...

The Saffron Yield Estimation Model (SYEM) was modified for salinity conditions, cowmanure application and planting methods using two-year experiments data in Badjgah region ofIran. A split-split plot arrangement was conducted in complete randomized block design duringtwo years with irrigation water salinity levels (0.45 (fresh water, S1), 1.0 (S2), 2.0 (S3) and 3.0(S4) dS m-1) as the main plot,...
